Born as Singanalluru Puttaswamayya Muthuraju, Rajkumar is a widely known star and a vocalist from India, primarily connected with the Kannada cinema industry. He is extensively acknowledged as one of the finest actors in Indian Cinema background.
He signed up with Gubbi Drama Business at the age of 8 and also showed up in numerous bit parts. His first appearance in a lead role came in the 1954 film ‘Bedara Kannappa’. His name ‘Rajkumar’ was after that given by H.L.N Simha, the supervisor of the motion picture.
