Adele Ankers-Range is a senior writer at MovieWeb with bylines at IGN, Sideshow Collectibles, Screen Rant, and more. A self-confessed cinephile and physical media collector, she spends more time alphabetizing her collection than she would care to admit. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Film & Media Studies, she set about sharing her words with the world, covering film and pop culture across major outlets.

Anemone, the highly anticipated debut feature from writer, artist, and filmmaker Ronan Day-Lewis, had its world premiere at the New York Film Festival (NYFF) on Sept. 28 ahead of its theatrical release this October. Ronan co-wrote the screenplay for the intense psychological drama with his father, Daniel Day-Lewis, who also stars in the lead role, marking his return to acting after eight years away from screens. The Oscar winner’s career comeback helped to generate a lot of buzz and awards talk for the film, but now critics have delivered their verdict on Rotten Tomatoes on whether it is worthy of the attention.

More to come…
