Thanks to Disney China Expo has given Marvel fans their first official synopsis of Avengers: Doomsday and is exactly as vague as you knew it would be. While the short description certainly doesn’t give any real new ideas about what to expect from the next big MCU event movie, it does confirm a few details about exactly what kind of Doctor Doom we will be seeing in the film.
While the description has received plenty of comments on social media, with many sharing their view that the synopsis is just a load of words that mean nothing, the translation from the original Chinese website does confirm a few details about Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. It is no secret that the mighty Marvel villain is going to tear apart the MCU as we know it, but the note that he will be a “master of cutting-edge science and powerful magic” confirms the various rumors of exactly how powerful this version of Doom will be.
Disney’s expo has already revealed an apparent first look at Doctor Doom via a standee, and he also featured in the Marvel light show which showed the antagonist creating the same kind of spell that saw Doctor Strange rip open the multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and featured appearances by the emblems of Wakanda, the Avengers, the X-Men, and Thunderbolts.
