Hazbin Hotel fans are about to face another lengthy wait to check in again for Season 3 of the adult animation, which is currently stirring up hell at the top of the Prime Video chart after the release of its second season. However, it is not all bad news when it comes to Season 4, as creator Vivienne Medrano explained to Collider.

After spending years lost in the wilderness of YouTube as an independent project, the brainchild of Medrano created enough of a stir to be picked up by A24 and Prime Video and was brought to the masses at the beginning of 2024. Season 2 finally debuted at the end of 2025, and has been every bit as successful as its predecessor. So when is Season 3 going to hit screens? You may not like the answer.

While speaking to Collider, Medrano explained that the wait for Season 3 will probably be the same as the gap between Seasons 1 and 2. She said:

“We are definitely well into it, but animation takes a long time. I would say a similar wait for Season 3… but less of a wait for Season 4 because they were greenlit together.”

Although the near-two-year wait for the next installment of Charlie Morningstar’s attempts to redeem the souls of hell while keeping the surrounding chaos in check, at least there is a glimmer of hope when it comes to Season 4. Of course, everyone can rejoice in the fact that we are getting two more seasons of the show, something of a rarity in these days of frequent early cancellations.

Hazbin Hotel’s voice cast includes Erika Henningsen as Charlie Morningstar, Stephanie Beatriz as Vaggie, Blake Roman as Angel Dust, Amir Talai as Alastor, Keith David as Husk, Kimiko Glenn as Nifty, Alex Brightman as Sir Pentious, and Christian Borle as Vox. Along with being the show’s creator, Medrano is a director, writer, and producer on the series.

‘Hazbin Hotel’ Has Been a Massive Hit on Prime Video

For those who believe YouTube is full of nothing but make-up tutorials and kids pretending to go to McDonalds, the existence of Hazbin Hotel, and the equally hilarious Helluva Boss, is a sign that perhaps you just need to look a bit harder.

Hazbin Hotel’s first season secured some good reviews, landing 78% from critics and 86% from audiences. Along with some record-breaking viewership volumes on Prime Video, the series’ continuation was almost inevitable. Could a second season live up to the extremely high expectations set by Season 1? As it turns out, yes, it really could.

Season 2 debuted a few weeks ago, and as the season drew to a close, it has maintained a 100% score from critics. Audiences have not been quite as pleased with this new set of episodes, with the Popcornmeter score dipping to 78%. However, the series has barely left the top spot on Prime Video in the last month, suggesting that the early renewal for two more seasons was a shrewd move by the streamer.

If this was not enough for fans of Medrano’s work, Season 3 and 4 of Helluva Boss are also in the works, meaning the next few years are going to be well worth a Prime Video subscription for Hellaverse lovers.
