Jason Statham fans will need to put the pedal to the metal if they want to watch the final installment in one of his best action thriller franchises for free. The Transporter series introduced The Stath as one of modern cinema’s best action heroes, and the third and final outing is currently streaming for nothing…but not for long.
Released back in 2008, Transporter 3 is directed by Olivier Megaton and written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. The sequel finds Statham back in the driving seat as the former Special Forces operative-turned-reliable criminal courier, Frank Martin, as he once again finds himself the target of enemy forces after breaking his most important rule: never open the package.
Transporter 3 was met with divisive reviews upon release, but does that really matter when it boasts the ever-engaging sight of The Stath taking out multiple adversaries with his particular set of skills? That’s rhetorical; it doesn’t matter at all. Transporter 3 is currently streaming for free on Plex, but is due to leave the platform on November 1. So, you had better hurry.
“Mob courier Frank Martin’s (Jason Statham) latest assignment pairs him with Valentina (Natalya Rudakova), the cynical daughter of a Ukrainian official. While her father ponders what to do with three boatloads of toxic waste, Frank must guard the problematic woman and prevent her from wandering too far from his vehicle, or risk triggering the explosive shackles they both wear.”
Will The Stath Ever Return as The Transporter?
While Jason Statham has now become one of the highest-paid action stars in Hollywood, fans would no doubt love to see him return for The Transporter 4 (we aren’t counting the Statham-less sort of sequel or Statham’s series of ads). Though nothing is official, the first movie’s director, Louis Leterrier, wants to make it happen…
“I mean, that would be a dream…It was a true pleasure. So, I mean, why not like that? You know, Frank Martin is a great character. The Transporter is a great character. And Jason [Statham] is an amazing actor. We need more Transporter, right?”
Statham, meanwhile, has previously revealed why Transporter 3 was the end of the road. The action star said back in 2015 that it was due to the studio asking him to sign on for not one, but three more installments in the franchise without even seeing a script. “I would have loved to keep doing it. But they wanted me to sign on and do three more films without even seeing a script, and they offered me less money to do three than I’d get paid for one!” he said at the time. “So it was a business decision.”
Thankfully, Jason Statham continues to fight the good fight for no-nonsense action thriller fare. The actor and martial artist will next lead Shelter from Angel Has Fallen director Ric Roman Waugh. Set for release on January 30, 2026, Shelter sees Statham taking the lead as a recluse living on a remote Scottish island who, after rescuing a girl, unleashes a perilous sequence of events that culminate in an attack on his home, compelling him to face his turbulent history.
