The Batman – Part II is still nearly two years away, but it seems Matt Reeves and co. are preparing to roll cameras sooner than expected. While it was previously announced that the long-awaited DC superhero sequel would film closer to April next year, a new rumor points to a much more rapid production start date.

According to Scottish publication The Herald, The Batman – Part II has already entered pre-production, with filming set to begin in January 2026 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in England. The report points out that production designer Luke Hull recently shared images from his location scouts, including Glasgow, Scotland, so it also seems the city is once again being turned into Gotham.

More to come.
